I think of Bob almost everyday.I don't think I would have cycled with the club if it weren't`t for Bob.

We have to postpone the club ride to The Hearth planned for 24 November due to lack of availability of the hall. I'm checking on availability and will keep members posted.

I would walk 500 miles, but I'd rather go by bike.

Hi Gordon has this ride & unveiling of the bench been rescheduled for Saturday 15th December? Austin & myself are hoping to come along. Ker

Yes, that's right. Saturday 15 December. Noon. I put it in the newsletter emailed to all members earlier this week. I'm asking people to let me or David know if they are going to be there so we can get an idea of numbers.

Re: A Tribute to Bob Melrose
Just a reminder that we will be at The Hearth this Saturday at 12.00 for 12.15. The forecast is for very low temperature overnight and during the day, so if you ride there, take care. I may drive to Kirkley Cycles for 10, with my bike, in case the situation changes and a ride is possible.

There are a few of us who might head straight to the Hearth from home on/in the bike/car so event still happening even if a low turnout at Kirkley.

We are still planning to get to The Hearth for 12.00 but looking at the weather forecast we will probably drive there! Ker & Austin

I will of course make the arduous journey from my house to the Hearth by bike...

Re: A Tribute to Bob Melrose
Great to see such a good turnout of Bob's friends yesterday for the unveiling of the memorial bench. Especial thanks go to David Edwards for starting off the funding and obtaining the bench, as well as for his pleasantly moving speech. I'm looking forward to sitting on Bob's bench when summer comes.
Older now but still riding against the wind
